Basirika Suzan
Ajiambo Rose Mary is 17 and lives with her sister in Jinja. Her father died from asthma in 2002, and her mother lives in Busia. Studying catering and hotel management.

Basirika Suzan aged 18 , studying catering and hotel management. Her parents divorced long ago, and she lives with her father who is very poor. From Jinja.

Kalembe Rebecca, 17, from Jinja, is orphaned, losing her father to HIV/AIDS., and her mother to an unknown illness. Studying catering and hotel management.

Lwenkyo Lydia

Lwenkyo Lydia, studying catering and hotel management. She’s from a broken family, her father believed to be in Kagoma, her mother sent away long ago with 4 children. Aged 17.

Mpiima Fred is 17 and studying motor vehicle mechanics.  His father died of a brain injury, and his mother of malaria, leaving 7 children orphaned, all living with their uncle in Jinja

Mugisha Godwin, studying plumbing and sheet metal work. He’s one of 7 children orphaned when both parents died of HIV /AIDS. He’s lame in one leg as a result of polio.

Mukaya Frank is 17 and studying plumbing and sheet metal work. One of 4 children, he lives with his mother, who is very poor. He does not know who his father is.

Mulaala Mulungi Martin aged 17 was orphaned when his father drowned on a lake and his mother died of high blood pressure. Studying motor vehicle mechanics

Mulongo Betty is 16 and studying textiles. Her father died when she was still young.

Mwebaza Rebecca is 16 and studying textiles. Her father is blind, and her mother cannot work as she looks after the father

Nafula Monica, from Mukono, is 16 and one of 4 children whose mother died in labour whilst delivering the last born. She stays with her aunt who has no work

Nagami Rebecca is 16 and is studying textiles. She comes from Mukono. Her father died from HIV/AIDS in 1994 leaving 7 children with their mother who is very poor.

Mamugobe Catherine

Geoffrey is 15 years old and studying building and concrete practice. His father died in 2003 from HIV/AIDS. He is one of three children.                  

Namaara Babrah lost her father after an unknown sickness. Her mother is very poor. She is 16 years old and studying textiles.

Namugobe Catherine, 17, studying catering and hotel management. Her father died from malaria and her mother from a swollen leg, leaving 3 children in the care of their uncle.

Nanteza Gorrett

Nanteza Gorrett from Mukono is just 14, and studying catering and hotel management. Her father died from a an accident whilst milking a cow. She lives with her mother who is a farmer.

Nayiga Jesca is 17 and from a broken family. Her father has mental health problems, and her mother works as a house maid in Kampala to support the family. Studying electrical installation.

Ninsiima Milia is 16 and one of 4 children. Their father was poisoned through alcohol, leaving them in the care of their mother in Jinja. Studying catering and hotel management

Nkulega Samson is from Jinja, and 15 years old. Both his parents died of HIV/AIDS, so he and his 3 siblings live with an aunt. Studying motor vehicle mechanics

Odeke Justine is 17 and from Kumi in the north of Uganda. His father was a soldier who died on the battle line. He is one of 6 children.

Okello Bosco is 15 and studying building and concrete practice. His father died of HIV/AIDS.

Osinde Sylvester Thomas

Onyanga Abel is 16 and studying plumbing and sheet metal work. His father was killed by rebels, and he stays with his mother who sells millet in the market to support the family.

Osinde Sylvester Thomas is from Jinja,. And16 years old. His father was shot by robbers in 1997. He lives with his mother who sells tomatoes. Studying building and concrete practice.

Shikhulu Clovis , studying electrical installation, is 16. His father dies in a car accident and his mother died of cerebral malaria, leaving 3 children with an uncle.

Yiga William is 16 and from Mukono. Both parents died from HIV/AIDS. He is studying electrical installation

Emienu Simon is 17 and from Kumi, Northern Uganda. Both his parents died in the war in the north, leaving six children orphaned. He is studying building and concrete practice.

Mutesi Lillian, aged 15 and studying electrical installation. She lives with her poor mother with 2 siblings. Her father died of malaria in 2005

Mwikirize Eunice is 18 and studying textiles, art & design. Her father was a policeman who passed away. Her mother also died, leaving Eunice with her older brother

Nelima Mary lost both parents through HIV/AIDS’ leaving her in the care of her grandmother. She is 16 years old and studying electrical installation

Nuwagaba Sourcetine is just 14 and studying motor vehicle mechanics. His father was a soldier who died on the battle line, leaving him with his very poor mother
